                                          CHANGE SIZE IMAGES ON PRINT RESULT

      One of the most common difficulties facing a printer or print carrier is if there is a change in the size of the image above the platen or the printout that does not match the size of the image on the film.
The image size change is due to several reasons:

1. As a result of adjusting the cylinder - the size of the cylinder is changed due to the sheer thickness      of the printed paper. the prints will get longer if the paper gets thicker and the thinner the paper   
    will reduce the length of the printout.

2. Lots of water (Fountain dampening solution) brought by new moll or roller cloth
    water to paper will also affect the prints or drawings.
    more water is absorbed by the paper, causing the paper to expand more. The development of the
    paper is usually larger in cross direction than in grain direction.
    the addition of image length can only be done in the direction of cylinder rotation.
    therefore the paper to be printed on the fiber must be parallel to the cylinder export. unless if
    there is a certain purpose, for example the printout will still be connected with other prints
    to require a different direction to reduce development when it is pasted.

3. Because the pressure is too strong between the cylindrical plate with the blanket cylinder can
    cause paper to easily expand.

     To extend the image or the printout can be done by reducing the underlay on the plate cylinder and adding an underlay on the blanket cylinder.
to shorten the image or the printout is done by adding an underlay on the cylinder plate and reducing the underlay on the blanket cylinder.

     at the time of color printing, the first printed image used as a guide for other colors to be longer than the next print. because of the pressure of the cylinder and water, the paper will expand. the development of paper in the first mold can be offset by reducing or adding an underlay on the cylinder plate and the blanket cylinder.
to allow more flexibility to adjust the length of the image on the job to register, the time of printing for the first color used as a guideline of other colors, the underlay on the cylinder plate to be added again (more than usual).

      Salah satu kesukaran yang sering terjadi dihadapi pencetak atau operator cetak jika ada perubahan ukuran gambar diatas pelat cetak atau hasil cetakan yang tidak sesuai dengan ukuran gambar pada film.

Perubahan ukuran gambar itu disebabkan karena beberapa sebab yaitu :
1. Akibat penyetelan silinder - silinder ukuran gambar berubah karena tebal tipisnya kertas yang              dicetak. hasil cetakan akan makin panjang apabila kertas semakin tebal dan semakin tipis                    kertasnya yang dicetak akan mengurangi panjang hasil cetakan.
2. Banyak sedikitnya air ( Fountain dampening solution ) yang dibawa oleh kain new moll atau rol 
    air ke kertas akan mempengaruhi pula hasil cetak atau gambarnya. 
    makin banyak air yang diserap oleh kertas, menyebabkan kertas mengembang lebih banyak.              Pengembangan kertas itu biasanya lebih besar pada cross direction dari pada grain direction.
    penambahan panjang gambar hanya dapat dilakukan searah dengan perputaran silinder. 
    karena itu kertas yang akan dicetak seratnya harus sejajar denganporos silinder. kecuali kalau 
    ada tujuan  tertentu, umpama hasil cetakan itu masih akan disambung dengan cetakan lainya 
    hingga memerlukan arah yang berbeda untuk mengurangi pengembangan pada waktu ditempel.
3. Karena tekanan yang terlalu kuat antara silinder pelat dengan silinder blanket dapat menyebabkan      kertas mudah mengembang.

     Untuk memperpanjang gambar atau hasil cetakan dapat dilakukan dengan mengurangi underlay pada silinder plate dan menambah underlay pada silinder blanket.
untuk memperpendek gambar atau hasil cetakan dilakukan dengan menambah underlay pada silinder plate dan mengurangi underlay pada silinder blanket.
     pada waktu mencetak berwarna, gambar pada cetakan pertama yang dipakai sebagai pedoman warna - warna lainya supaya lebih panjang dari pada cetakan berikutnya. karena tekanan silinder dan air, kertas itu akan mengembang. pengembangan kertas pada cetakan pertama itu dapat diimbangi dengan mengurangi atau menambah underlay pada silinder plate dan silinder blanket.
supaya lebih leluasa memberi kemungkinan penyesuaian panjang gambar pada pekerjaan yang harus register, waktu mencetak untuk warna pertama yang dipakai sebagai pedoman warna - warna lainya, underlay pada silinder plate supaya ditambahkan lagi ( lebih banyak dari biasanya ).

        In high prints commonly referred to as letterpress or boekdruk, parts or surfaces that are scored higher or more prominently upwards than non-printing parts as well as stamps in offices.

       In contrast to the print in the usual called intaglio or diepdruk. the printed portion is lower than the part that does not print. the lower portions of the image will be filled with ink until it is ink supply.

ink that is attached to the unnecessary part of the part that will have to be clean, wiped first with a blade or rack so that the ink is lost, after it is in print, the ink inside will be inhaled by paper, then there is mold on paper.

      If on a high print and print in the printing process it happens mechanically ordinary, that is, the parts that print with parts that do not print higher or lower.

on a flat print the process was achieved due to the presence of drugs that caused a conflict between water and oil.

so even if the surface is printing with that does not print equally, but in the presence of the medicines then when the surface of stone or zinc (Plate Aluminum) on the roll with ink, ink will be attached to the existing part of the picture, while the part that no image not holding ink.

this can happen because at the time the stone or zinc (Plate Aluminum) has been drawn, the zinc surface was wiped with gom into the pores on the zinc was open and enter the gom that mixed with nitric acid which is called etching.

      because nitric acid, zinc pores / plate is open and enter the gum into the pores of the zinc / plate that is not covered by the image. with the gums that enter into the pores. at the time the zinc / plate is wiped with water, part of the water is inhaled by gom ,. until the zinc / plate surface that does not have the picture contains water.
then when the zinc / plate is then dirol with ink, ink will not be attached to the existing water.

     so the principle of flat print is the contradiction between water and oil. the part of the drawing will hold the ink and reject the water. and the part that no picture will hold water and refuse ink.
